'School Pride' comes to Los Angeles

jacob-soboroff.jpgJacob Soboroff, who shot and appeared in all those great videos for LA Observed a few years ago, is now co-host of School Pride airing Friday nights on NBC. This past Friday the show about campus makeovers aired from Hollenbeck Middle School in Boyle Heights, with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa in attendance. This week's show was filmed at the Los Angeles Center for Enriched Studies magnet school in Mid-City. Back in June, Steve Lopez wrote a column in the L.A. Times about the LAUSD's reluctance to let the show come onto the campuses.
