Ellroy goes undercover in France

ellroy-france.jpgLos Angeles author James Ellroy on Sunday received France's Order of the Arts from Culture Minister Frederic Mitterrand. Others honored included actress Eva Marie-Saint and UCLA literature professor Alain Mabanckou, but it was Ellroy who Google (or Agence-France Presse) mistook for a senior French government official.
