Talking about L.A.'s space shuttle

endeavour_landing.jpgPretty cool news about the space shuttle Endeavour being retired to the California Science Center after its final flight. That April 29 mission will be commanded by Capt. Mark E. Kelly, husband of Arizona's Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. Mark picked up the news earlier at LA Biz Observed. It's a very big deal for the science center in Exposition Park, which gains what may become a major SoCal tourist attraction.

Here's Warren Olney discussing the decision tonight on KCRW's "Which Way, L.A.?" with Science Center President Jeffrey N. Rudolph. Plus the museum's release.

NPR story on today's NASA announcement, and where the other three space shuttles are headed.
