Trutanich quacks like a candidate

trutanich-rooftop.jpgWith City Attorney Carmen Trutanich making two campaign-style stops in the Valley last week, Rick Orlov writes that his "'exploratory' campaign for district attorney is starting to look more and more like the real deal." He made nice with AEG's Tim Leiweke at one stop and has a fundraiser this weekend put on by a Westlake Village law firm. Also looking like candidates, Orlov notes in his Monday Tipoff column: Zev Yaroslavsky (for mayor) and Assemblyman Bob Blumenfield (for City Council in Dennis Zine's 3rd district.

In other candidate news: Robert Farrell, the 8th district city councilman from 1974-1991 (and before that involved in getting Joel Wachs elected student body president at UCLA), talks to the LAT's Jim Newton about running for the council again from the 15th district, the seat vacated by Janice Hahn.
