How windy was it? Surf's up at Tahoe

Winds were so brisk at Lake Tahoe today that a couple of hardy surfers hit the waves — at 6,225 feet above sea level. Hat tip to Peter Thomas, Tim Rantz of Homeward Mountain Ski Resort and the San Francisco Chronicle.
