American Masters on PBS on Monday night aired Charles and Ray Eames: the Architect and the Painter, about the husband and wife L.A. design team famous for many things, including Case Study House #8, the Eames House they built in 1949 in Pacific Pailsades. Eames Demetrios, chairman of the Eames Foundation, discusses the documentary and its filming in detail. He approves.

The Eames living room at LACMA's current exhibit, California Design 1930-1965: Living in a Modern Way, is shown in this behind-the-scenes LA Observed video.

* Noted: The Eames exhibition to see is at the JF Chen Collection in Hollywood through Jan. 14.
