Lindsay Lohan, Mel Gibson, Phil Spector, even Conrad Murray — he has walked them all. Wheatcroft, who heads the sheriff's Security Operations Unit—they protect the Board of Supervisors, judges and others who receive threats—received a retirement tribute at Tuesday's Supes meeting.
