High school goalie may have been killed over jealousy

murder+suspects+pancho.jpgLos Angeles police today announced the arrests of Elizabeth Ibarra, 19, and Jason Shumann, 24, in last week's murder of Francisco Javier Rodriguez Jr. outside his home in Winnetka. Rodriguez was shot after being lured outside by a girl who came to the door, shortly after he got home from playing in El Camino Real High School's soccer game against Taft High. Police sources are telling reporters that it was not a gang killing, but stemmed from a romantic rivalry. The suspects have lengthy rap sheets, per media reports. LAT, DN
