Newhall Pass closed again? There's an app for that

The narrow squeeze between the San Fernando Valley and points north doesn't need a big earthquake to close down — though that does seem to work every time. Other, smaller crises and phenomena clog the pass with enough frequency that the SCVTalk.com blog (the letters stand for Santa Clarita Valley) has come up with the Comprehensive Newhall Pass Disaster Planning Tool 1.0.
