Are Los Angeles mag's covers five years late?

la-mag-3covers.jpgLos Angeles magazine's three cover variations on the theme of mixed-race Angelenos are nice looking, and seem to be getting a good reaction. But Oscar Garza, who was the editor of Los Angeles' late sister magazine Tu Ciudad, observes that the cover concept and the theme are not that original even within the building. "Glad my former Emmis colleagues followed our footsteps," he emails. "Five years later." See below.
