Only three+ mistakes in NYT gallery on 'Hollywood'

malaika-sarfati-nyt.jpgA reader emails to point out a few errors in the web slide show that goes with a photo essay by Lise Sarfati on women in Hollywood, in Sunday's New York Times. This woman, for instance, is identified as Malaika and is captioned standing on "North Sunset Boulevard" in 2010. "There is no NORTH Sunset Boulevard," says my helpful emailer. "It's West Sunset Boulevard (or just Sunset Boulevard) for its entire length, from Cesar Chavez Boulevard to Pacific Coast Highway." True enough. Also these:

Vinny Ann, Hollywood & Vine, 2010 — "Vinny Ann is actually standing near the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue."

Elisabeth, North West Corner Sunset & Poinsettia, 2010 "Elisabeth is on the NORTHEAST corner at Sunset Boulevard and Poinsettia Place. A Ralphs supermarket is on the northwest corner."

Oops, and three other Safrati photos titled "On Hollywood" were shot elsewhere in Los Angeles — either in Silver Lake, Downtown or on Alvarado.
