Quake in Michoacán, preliminary 7.0

The tectonic plates are a-shakin today. The great quakes in the Pacific off Sumatra this morning have been followed by an earthquake in Mexico's Michoacán state. The United States Geological survey plots the epicenter as 32 miles southwest of La Mira and 209 miles west and north from Acapulco. [They are now calling it 16 miles from Arteaga.] The initial magnitude was pegged at 7.0.
