Zuckerberg updates status to 'Married'

Instead of the Saturday graduation party they thought they were attending, invited guests at Mark Zuckerberg's home in Palo Alto saw the Facebook founder and his longtime girlfriend, Priscilla Chan, get married. There were fewer than 100 guests, AP reported. Chan graduated this week from medical school at UC San Francisco, and Zuckerberg turned 28 on Monday. Both changed their Facebook timelines.

Ditching his trademark hoodie and sneakers, Zuckerberg sported a dark blue suit and tie with a white shirt for the ceremony, while Chan wore a traditional white wedding dress with veil and lace.

Food was served family-style and included dishes from the couple's favorite Palo Alto sushi restaurant.

Zuckerberg met Chan at Harvard, where he founded Facebook in a dorm room in 2004, and have been together for more than nine years.

Let's hope the marriage goes better than Friday's public offering of Facebook stock.
