Here's what's coming up, from Tina Daunt in the Hollywood Reporter:
- Vice President Joe Biden has an Aug. 3 fundraising reception at the home of entrepreneur and Democratic Party donor Shoukat Hussain Ali.
- First Lady Michelle Obama has Aug. 12 events at the Beverly Hills home of singer and designer Gwen Stefani, and at the home of Warner Bros. CEO Barry Meyer and his wife, Wendy.
- The next day, Mrs. Obama will be the guest of honor at a Ladera Heights fundraiser luncheon co-hosted by Yolanda "Cookie" Parker, tech entrepreneur and Obama National Finance committee member.
Also, on August 6 architect Frank Gehry and his wife, Berta, will host a private benefit concert to raise money for President Obama's re-election. Cellist Yo Yo Ma will perform. Ticket prices range from $2,500 to $10,000 per couple.
