Jennifer York back on the air, but on the ground

jennifer-york-crop.jpgA couple of readers have noticed the familiar voice of Jennifer York doing traffic reports for KNX 1070 radio. York was the very popular airborne traffic reporter on KTLA Channel 5 for 13 years, until she and the station parted ways in 2004. She did a stint on Christian radio for a while, and still plays bass in her all-woman jazz instrumental group, the York Quartet. Her personal website also says that York is in the MFT program for clinical psychology. at Azusa Pacific University Graduate School. No mention on the website (or at the KNX site) of her new radio gig, but I guess it's a homecoming of sorts — York began as a flying traffic reporter in 1989 aboard KFWB's Air 98 and Jetcopter 98.
