Is there a funny smell in the Silver Lake water?

Reader Peter Francis Cerrato emails to say he has been picking up a "strange odor" in the water in his neighborhood above the Silver Lake reservoir. It's been coming from the tap on and off for a few months. He notes that we've posted about odors in the water before and asks: "Any other reports these days?"

I haven't heard of any, but maybe someone will email.
