Observing Los Angeles

Get divorced, get in the New York Times

dan-crane-homeredo.jpgDan Crane, a freelance writer and musician who wrote “To Air Is Human: One Man’s Quest to Become the World’s Greatest Air Guitarist,” bought a house in Echo Park with his wife. During the renovation, according to Crane, she decided she didn't want to be a married homeowner and left. Crane was stuck with the renovation project and, eventually, a remodeled home. He tells the tale in a piece in the New York Times Home section on Thursday, along with a web gallery of a dozen photos.
