Matthew McKnight, LAFD captain died on duty at 51

lafd-mcknight.jpgThe Los Angeles Fire Department news and information blog announced today that Fire Captain/Paramedic Matthew G. McKnight was found unresponsive this morning inside the Metropolitan Fire Communications Center on East Temple Street. Colleagues performed CPR, applied a defibrillator and "instituted advanced life support measures," according to spokesman Brian Humphrey. McKnight, 51, did not respond. The 31-year veteran was declared dead at Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center.
