Vaux's Swifts are back on Broadway *

swifts-broadway.jpg* Updated: The annual southbound migration of traveling Vaux's Swifts is underway — but they are not using the chimney of the Chester Williams building at 5th and Broadway. This time the birds are roosting in a chimney of the nearby Spring Arts Tower, says Brenda Rees at SoCal Wild. And once again, the Audubon Center at Debs Park is hosting a watch party of the top level of the Joe's Auto Park at 444 S. Broadway. They ask if you come, please don't park above the fifth floor. There will be staff and volunteers on hand with information and binoculars. They gather from 6 p.m. to 7:30.
