NBC4 to live-tweet Northridge quake starting in the early morning*

I guess that at 4:31 on Friday morning, Channel 4's tweets will begin. "As part of NBC4's 20th anniversary coverage, we've created a Twitter account to remember the Northridge Earthquake in real time," the station says. "Each @RealTime94Quake tweet corresponds to the actual date and time (sometimes down to the minute) of each major event as it unfolded in 1994."

NBC4 did this once before, in 2012 on the 20th anniversary of the Los Angeles riots, and as I recall it was pretty effective. It all depends on the research they put into it.

Also quake-related: A guest writer at Zocalo writes how he and his family survived the damage to their Mid-City apartment, but their marriage didn't.
