P-13 and cubs devour a Santa Monica Mountains deer (photos)

New mountain lion photos from the naturalists who monitor the population in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. The images were taken near Malibu Creek State Park in March, when the cubs were 11 months old, and posted on Facebook on Friday. They are in color and graphic: it is a lion family feeding on a mule deer. The mother is P-13 and the cubs are P-28 and P-30. (We saw them feeding back in February too.)
