Early look ahead at winter sees hope for California's drought (video)

NOAA's seasonal outlook sees a good chance of a warmer than normal winter in the Southwest, and also a better than middling chance of a normal precipitation year in California. "The Climate Prediction Center's outlook for December through February gives California a 2-in-3 chance of receiving normal precipitation or better," says the agency. It's still a crapshoot, but here's hoping the models turn out to be right.
