Well, probably. You have the 11th largest media market (Detroit) going against the 21st (St. Louis), so the Fox folks can't be thrilled. Last year's World Series between Chicago and Houston produced the lowest ratings ever. The name of the game, of course, is having at least one of the teams in a big market like New York and L.A. The only hope is for a series that goes six or seven games because Fox can charge more for commercials. A look at recent World Series matchups and ratings after the jump.

YEAR Teams RATINGS
2000 Yankees-Mets 12.4
2001 Arizona-NY Yankees 15.7
2002 Anaheim-San Francisco 11.9
2003 Florida-NY Yankees 13.9
2004 Boston-St. Louis 15.8
2005 Chicago White Sox-Houston 11.1
