I'm told that the ones along Beverly Blvd. are either open or about to be open today - on schedule - as the center completes that phase of its renovations efforts in time for the holidays. It's taken them 10 months to replace all five levels of the escalators. As noted on the BC's Web site, the redo includes sheet glass and tile walls and sparkles. A spokeswoman says other escalators within the center will be updated after the first of the year.
