Sequel to 'Borat' in the works

News Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch confirmed that it's going to happen once Sacha Baron Cohen fulfills another contract (I'm assuming it's his "Bruno" film with Universal, scheduled for a summer 2008 release). Speaking at McGraw-Hill's Media Summit, Murdoch said "we laughed like hell" after the first screening. Afterward, "we went out to dinner and laughed all over it" again. Then, he said, "you wake up the next morning and you say 'God, that was gross.'" He's seen it about three times. Among other interesting stuff that came up, Murdoch said he's tempted to support NY Mayor Michael Bloomberg for president. (He doubted whether he'd go for Hillary, though he finds her "very considerable and very intelligent" and "she'd certainly be a lot stronger and subtler than her husband"). He doubted whether the Chandler offer for Tribune Co. will happen (he's involved in the bid but only to join the NY Post and Newsday in a sort of "joint operating agreement"). BW
