Getting ready for the Anaheim Royals?

Or the Anaheim Royals of Southern California or the Orange County Royals or the Los Angeles Royals. An attorney representing the Maloof family, owners of the Sacramento Kings, filed federal trademark registrations for all those names. Sacramento Bee reports that the filings were made just a few days after the NBA granted the Kings an extended period to consider moving the team to Anaheim. The Kings have until April 18 to make a formal request. The mayor of Sacramento has already said that a move to Socal is likely, and OC billionaire Henry Samueli, who owns the Honda Center in Anaheim, is said to be negotiating a deal.
