When will America's best movie chain open in L.A.?

Still no word from Alamo Drafthouse, other than that the Austin-based chain remains very interested in both L.A. and NY. Alamo is a hero among those of us who have stopped going to the movies because of the jerks who talk and text message throughout the film. If that happens at an Alamo location, the person is thrown out - a policy that's been getting lots of attention thanks to a video featuring the imbecilic rantings of a dissatisfied customer. From the NYT:

The Alamo has a full menu of reasonably priced food and alcoholic beverages and prohibits children under 6 from all but some G-rated movies and, for any movie, requires those under 18 to be accompanied by an adult ... At the Alamo, patrons report talkers and texters anonymously to servers, using paper and pens provided to silently order food during movies. One warning is issued, and the next offense draws the boot. About 150 people are kicked out annually for talking or using mobile devices at all of the locations combined, [said CEO Tim] League.

I happen to live less than a mile from West L.A.'s Landmark, arguably one of the most civilized multiplexes in town - and still the rudeness is astounding.
