*Where's Obama?

Small but telling: He was supposed to speak at 10, then it was pushed back to 10:30, then 10:40, and he has yet to show up. So for the last 30 minutes or so MSNBC's live feed has show an empty presidential podium. Meantime, the stock market is now down more than 400 points. Not good.

*He's finally ready -- 53 minutes late.

**Same old blah-blah. About the last thing we need to hear is a partisan rehash of the debt-ceiling disaster. This guy really doesn't get it.

*11:02: Dow is under 11,000
