Greuel leads in mayoral fundraising sweepstakes

That several million dollars have been raised for a race that's more than a year away tells you something about how big-city politics gets played these days. The latest count shows Controller Wendy Greuel with $1.1 million, Councilman Eric Garcetti with $1.06 million, and Councilwoman Jan Perry with $827,000. No word yet from Austin Beutner. (LA Weekly)
