--Improved "retina" display--A5X chip with quad-core graphics capacity
--5 megapixel camera
--Supports 1080p video recording
--Voice dictation feature
--And crucially, it will work with new high-speed 4G LTE networks from AT&T and Verizon. It will also work two other new mobile networks, which will be important outside the U.S: HSPA+ and dual-channel HSDP
--Apple says the new device will boast the same battery life as the iPad 2: 9 hours for wireless use. Pricing will stay the same as the iPad 2: $499 for 16GB, with $100 more for 32GB and $200 more for 64 GB. 4G wireless models cost an extra $130. They new model will be available March 16.
The new iPad will be priced at $499 for Wi-Fi only models - the 4G version, which promises speeds roughly 10 times faster than current 3G data networks, will start at $629, not including service plans. They'll go on sale March 16.
