L.A. gas hikes slow down, up a nickel in the last week

Keep in mind that they were up 23 cents the previous week. An average gallon of regular in the L.A. area is $4.407, according to the government's weekly survey. (These are slightly different calculations from the Auto Club numbers we've been posting.) What's interesting about the price run-up is that vehicle miles are down - people appear to be driving less and are being charged more. Business Insider has charts.
