Boston blasts prompt tighter security in L.A.

blast.jpgAll the usual precautions -- LAX is increasing patrols and using more bomb-sniffing dogs, while an increased police presence is planned for tonight's Dodger-Padre game at the Stadium. "We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to monitor the situation and stand ready to aid Boston in any way possible," Mayor Villaraigosa said in a statement. There's no sign so far of any threats beyond what happened in Boston this afternoon. (LAT)
