800 try, 2 are selected

Anyway, only two got a call back. Laurent Merlin, a 22-year-old former French leagues forward, and Rui Fortes, a 24-year-old midfielder from Portugal, were asked to work out with the team for a week. Merlin lives in France and came over for the tryout, and Fortes lives in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
