DA versus media, continued

The OC Weekly is back with another long examination of the awful relations between DA Tony Rackauckas and the Orange County press, especially the L.A. Times.

Keeping the Times off balance was brilliant because it was so simple: Times editors are squeamish about charges they might harbor opinions—not just unsavory opinions, but any opinions...(Rackauckas) played on that sensitivity beautifully.

The cover story by R. Scott Moxley clearly blames the DA. He's described as "really, really dangerous" with an insatiable drive for power. The headline: "Out of His Skull."
