Bradley analyzes Arianna's exit

Bill Bradley of the LA Weekly is up on the Weekly's site with a story that Arianna Huffington will drop out tonight on "Larry King Live" and call for a no vote on the recall. She won't, according to Bradley, be endorsing Bustamante or anyone else. She got pressure to exit the race from, among others, actor Warren Beatty, who has been unofficially advising Gray Davis, Bradley says.

Update: Weintraub's all over it. Kaus chirps the line of the day, speculating why Arianna got out: It's less humiliating to get 2 percent of the vote after dropping out than 3 percent staying in.

Who was it, back on the eve of the campaign, who told us in the LA Weekly that the secret plan was for Peter Camejo to drop out just before the election and to endorse Arianna? Some one made
mashed potatoes out of that one...
