While the MTA shutdown and the supermarket strike-lockout linger on, city attorney Rocky Delgadillo, council president Alex Padilla and councilman Jack Weiss are in Israel on a 10-day junket paid for by the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles. They're learning about "airport security," Weiss says in the L.A. Times today. With council member Cindy Miscikowski in Cuba "on vacation," things are a slow in city hall, Patrick McGreevy reports.
