USC constitutional law professor Erwin Chemerinsky begins at Duke University in the fall. His wife, Catherine Fisk, a labor law professor at USC, also is moving to Duke. Chemerinsky was chairman of the city charter reform commission and of the independent board that investigated the LAPD Rampart scandal. More recently, he was named by Mayor Hahn to lead a panel looking at city contracting practices.
