I'm back after a few weeks away from the web to recharge and enjoy the summer. There are some changes to point out. You can now read posts by topic if you wish. So, if you want to see the last few dozen posts on, say, L.A. politics or bloggers, go to the "Latest Posts" block at the top of the left column and click on that topic. It's complete back to early July, less reliable before that. To find every post that mentions a certain subject, it's still best to use the Search form.

Also, comments on individual posts are closed for now. Movable Type has promised a new software upgrade this week with improved handling of blog comments. When they actually release it, and I'm able to install and tweak it, I'll likely restore some form of comments by registration. Until then, feedback via email is welcomed and encouraged. Salient and thoughtful comments and clarifications may end up being used on the site, so if you don't want your email to show up on L.A. Observed, be sure and say so.

Finally, I got around to writing some FAQ's for L.A. Observed. They are posted at the About link on every page.
