Councilman Bernard Parks let the 4th Floor know by email tonight that he was not pleased with a recent item. After dishing out some (gratuitous to me) insults, Parks concluded (emphasis mine):

I appreciate the opportunity to respond to your comments, no matter how misguided and totally out of focus they were. And, I appreciate your attempt to provide information. But, make no mistake, I will not tolerate any more cheap shots. And, I hope our next correspondence will be made in person... if you're brave enough.

What makes the councilman's tough-guy tone noteworthy (it's also sort of juvenile) is that the 4th Floor blogger(s) either works for Parks or one of his council colleagues. He and/or she chooses to stay anonymous in part to avoid retribution from those superiors, and hasn't abused that anonymity that I have seen. But if anyone in City Hall has the ability to ply unofficial channels to unmask the blogger, it's probably ex-police chief Parks. In fact, the 4th Floorists might be wise to hide their tracks a little better: someone emailed me recently that he had traced the blogger(s) to a Road Runner account in one of the nicer communities in Time Warner's Valley territory.
