All four major reelection challengers to Mayor Jim Hahn have come out against his compromise plan for the redesign (call it modernization or expansion, if you prefer) of Los Angeles International Airport. They join the three main candidates who are running to represent the airport on the city council. On the current council, the comprise worked out between Hahn and Cindy Miscikowski appears to have a solid seven votes, with five still in play. All twelve may be needed if county officials decide to oppose the reconstruction. Times story.
