Muff Singer was married to former Los Angeles City Controller Rick Tuttle. She died Sunday at home after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was 62. Singer worked in Democratic politics as a campaign coordinator and administrative assistant to Howard Berman in the state Assembly, then left government to write children's books.
