On the rumored list of Pulitzer Prize finalists I excerpted last week, add Joe Morgenstern of the Wall Street Journal in the criticism category. The list shows up today on the Editor & Publisher website. E&P also posts that the L.A. Times series on King-Drew Medical Center that is up for a Pulitzer just won an award for outstanding coverage of race and ethnicity from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Former LAT reporter Zanto Peabody also won a citation for his story in the Houston Chronicle on finding his dad in Africa.
