Councilman-elect Bill Rosendahl is going to take the ceremonial oath of office at Venice Beach. He will do it Saturday, July 2, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The email invitation, posted at West L.A. Online, also makes it more or less official that Mike Bonin, who used to work for Councilwoman Ruth Galanter, will be Rosendahl's chief of staff. Meanwhile, Mayor-elect Antonio Villaraigosa is said to be close to announcing his chief of staff. Speculation in City Hall is swirling around Marcus Allen, currently in the same role for Controller Laura Chick.
