Baron: Not interested

Boston Globe editor Marty Baron shoots down talk that he would leave his #1 perch to become #2 at the L.A. Times. Baron's name had come up in the managing editor speculation around the Times newsroom because he is close to new LAT boss Dean Baquet and held a couple of senior positions at the Times (Business Editor, Orange County Edition editor) before moving on to the New York Times. Baron also has been editor of the Miami Herald. (Via Romenesko)
