Dear Abby: buh-bye

The Times quietly dropped "Dear Abby" from the feature pages a week ago, then waited to see if anyone noticed. Almost no one did. At least, there's been barely a peep of complaint, Deputy Features Editor Sherry Stern told me today. So for now, the Tribune-based Ask Amy will be the only daily advice column in the paper (and even it didn't run Monday.)

Just coincidence: Monday's Calendar section runs a theater review of "The Lady With All the Answers," a one-woman show about newspaper advice columnist Ann Landers playing at The Old Globe in San Diego.
