Erwin Baker dies

Erwin Baker used to be the Times' City Council reporter and by virtue of longevity was crowned the "dean of City Hall reporters" before that dubious label fell to either Rick Orlov or Marc Haefele, depending on your druthers. There's said to be an obit in Wednesday's LAT. [Here it is.] Baker was 86 when he died in Kansas City, Kansas.
