Smoke bombs for pets

Today's CityBeat says the Animal Liberation Front is taking credit for smoke-bombing the Bunker Hill Towers downtown as part of its campaign against Gordon Stuckey, general manager of the city's Animal Services department. The group has been trying to get Stuckey fired. The LAPD confirms that a small smoke device was ignited on Sept. 16.
