Tribune-wide computer woes *

Websites at the L.A. Times and other Tribune properties aren't getting freshened this morning due to an unsolved technical glitch. This note was sent to Times editors by the "extended news desk," which edits web stories:

From: Young, Mike
To: yyPage1
Sent: 12/5/2005 9:56 AM
Subject: website

Due to Tribune-wide interactive problems, we have been unable to update the website this morning. We will continue to write stories and file them to the web, but when they get posted is unknown. The problem has not yet been diagnosed.

Aren't layoffs a bitch?

Fixed: As of 11:30 am.
