CCA jumps on mayor's wagon

The Central City Association, the lobbyists for downtown business interests, endorsed Mayor Villaraigosa's bill in the Legislature to put the Los Angeles schools partly under his control. We'll see in a couple of hours if that gets them invited to the mayor's press conference to show off business support for AB 1381. CCA, of course, lined up solidly in the Jim Hahn column in last year's election and has been trying to make it up to Villaraigosa ever since.
