Rep. Jane Harman isn't just wealthy, she is the most wealthy member of the House of Representatives, according to a database at the Center for Responsive Politics. Today's Daily Breeze reports that Harman is worth at least $168 million and probably much more. Local African American representatives Maxine Waters and Juanita Millender-McDonald are also well into the millionaire category. The latter ranks #1 for wealth in the House black caucus. By the way, the CRP spokesman quoted in the story, Massie Ritsch, is the former L.A. Times reporter and associate at Steve Sugerman's Westwood PR firm.
